Two Roll Challenge

I’ve been so inspired by Rachel from Sesame Ellis. In so many ways. To ditch the watermarks. To take less photos, but photos I am more proud of. And to focus on the core storytelling in the photos. So I took up her two roll challenge. This is basically to treat your DSLR like a film camera with two rolls or 72 photos. And abandon your photos in bulk strategy for something a bit more substantial and see what happens. These are the 72 photos I took. Every now and then Riley would demand the camera and take a few photos so I haven’t included those, but everything else is there.

  1. So thrilled that you did this! I hope you continue to shoot purposefully. I can’t wait to share where the 2 roll challenge will be going and I think I just might have a little something for your effort!

    • Thanks Rachel! It has a huge impact on my iphone photos and I am so much happier when I look at the iphone blog now. And with both cameras I think it has helped me focus on what it is interesting rather than what is right in front of me.

  2. They’re beautiful, Zoey. And you have such beautiful subjects :-)
